Kindegarten Crew // Math Final Product

Kindergarteners are super excited to announce that they have done their first math final product! This year we worked really hard on incorporating multiple types of learning into the final product.  We wanted to make sure the students would not only be able to show what they knew from their math unit, but also show their writing skills and sight words!  This is where Eric Carle’s writing style came into play.

Our first module in ELA is all about community and school helpers. We wanted to incorporate their ELA into our math.  Eric Carle writes some amazing books with patterns.  We followed the Brown Bear, Brown Bear pattern and created our own community helpers math book! The students drew their own pictures, wrote in their sight words and their numbers.  At the end they were able to read their story on their own. 

The kindergarteners were beyond thrilled to have something concrete that showed all that they had learned over the past few months in school!
